Monsters and Sled Dragons Pulling Team (MSDPT) meets throughout the season though concentrating on a bi monthly basis in the first quarter of the year. The club was created around 1990.  The club consists of a mix of personalites that all have one common interest at least and thats monster truck racing. Most of our racing is done on carpet. We try to setup 2 courses that mirror one another. The image below will give you an idea what we run on.
In the upper left and upper right corner of the carpet area you will see two jumps this is the start line. Both trucks will start from these points when the light turns green. They will race on a defined course with jumps and crushed car sets to the finish. The finish on this example is near the top of the center area of the carpet. Both trucks will try and drive through the course with out getting any penalties. Winner moves on to the next round in this form of head to head racing.
Each round of racing starts with a run in each lane for qualifying. You will be placed in a running order according to your qualifying time. For example if 32 trucks run, the 32 will do their qualifying, they will then be placed in pairings. 16 races will happen in the first heat. After this first heat half the field has been eliminated then the next 8 pairings will run. After that set then we are down to 4 pairings and so on and so on until you reach a final round. We usually run at least 3 complete rounds of Monster truck racing in a day. Depending on demand we will also run rounds of tuff truck racing. Time depending we have also run freestyle too.
Most of our monster trucks that run are based on the clodbuster chassis. The rules are posted in another topic off the main page. Feal free to browse through our rules and pictures to help give your self a good idea of what we do. The doors usually open around 9am with racing starting about 11:30. We run until about 6pm. If you have any questions you can contact one of the listed members off the contact page. Thanks for looking.
